TCTC implemented the Best of Texas Awards to recognize senior Career and Technology Education Students (CTE), alumni and community members who are doing an outstanding job worthy of recognition. It is essential to provide a tangible incentive for people to excel and for others to strive to reach the point of recognition.
Nominations can be made in the following catagories:
Student Awards:
· Outstanding Student by Program Area
An outstanding student in a CTE program
· Outstanding Uniquely Challenged
An outstanding CTE student with a physical or mental disability
· Outstanding Special Achievement
An outstanding CTE student who has overcome major obstacles due to personal circumstances
· Outstanding Career and Technology Education Student-Guidance Division
An outstanding student in a CTE program
· Outstanding Career and Technology Education Student-Administration Division
An outstanding student in a CTE program
Alumni Award:
Former CTE students who (after graduation) have gone above and beyond in assisting the local CTE program or programs.
Community Award:
Businesses, organizations, or individuals in the community that have shown outstanding support to local CTE programs.
